I enjoyed reading this story and seeing how everything played out. Well worth downloading and reading while curled up with a glass of wine.
Very good read! When you are reading an interesting / exciting part, dialogue changes. I love the story but it had too many dialogues.
This has to be one of my favorite romances of all time. It's gorgeously written from the first word to the last. Molly isn't your average vanilla lead - she has so much depth and complexity and we get to come along with her as she grows both in her personal power and her creative confidence. Ash, the woman who came suddenly into Molly's life and changed everything, is unbelievably sexy. Natalie Vivien writes with so much humor and so much perceptiveness about people and their relationships. Every character is treated with care and consideration; none are flat. I'm so glad I discovered this author.
Typical trope. We spend 40% of the book in... you guessed it, completely unnecessary conflict. Why can't these authors realize we know conflict happens. That we can resolve them in 10-20 pages instead of 150? Bleh. Whatever. Such a waste to spend half a book in a trauma ward.
Funny and smart. Maybe occasionally a bit too much internal monologue for my tastes, but hey, it is a work of lesbian fiction so I think that might come with the territory. Overall, very enjoyable read.
I really liked Molly and Ash, and having just finished the book, I already miss them. I even miss the cottage -- I feel like I really got to visit it! Great writing and impressive alliteration )
What I most dislike about this book?
There was absolutely no character depth.
One doesn't care about the character because we don't really get to know them. There was absolutely no deep conversation, no real connection between the two main character, no getting to know each other, no question ask, no background.
We know nothing about Ash, other than she's a hot woman with tattoos and is an artist.
We only know the story behind one tattoo...that's it, thats all we get. The whole book is a bunch of mumble jumble thrown together.
The book description mention how can a woman learn to love and trust again after being betrayed... Well it was never answer.
Oh and Juliette, and the "Goodbye" scene PATHETIC and I mean the bedroom scene, because there was not only one but we get two goodbye scene with Juliette because there wasn't enough of her in the book.
